PADI Speciality Courses are a great way to get more experience and to learn more about specific diving topics and you'll be amazed at how many there are.

Scuba diving is a way to explore the underwater world in new and different ways. PADI Specialty Diver courses teach you new techniques and give you the tools to enhance your exploration. Whatever your interest in diving, there's a PADI Specialty course there to give you the knowledge, skills and experience to pursue your passion...

For divers who have undertaken the PADI Advanced Open Water course, adventure dives from the course can be credited towards the corresponding PADI Speciality.

Other PADI Speciality Courses are available which include Boat Diver, Drift Diver and Night Diver.

The Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through both significant experience and scuba training. Fewer than two percent of divers ever achieve this rating. When you flash your Master Scuba Diver card, people know that you've spent time underwater in a variety of environments and had your share of dive adventures.

The path starts with earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification, followed by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certifications). You also need to earn five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and have logged a minimum of 50 dives.

COURSE SCHEDULE

Whatever it is that draws you into the depths, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course. The Deep Diver specialty is ideal for any diver who wishes to dive to a depth of 40m. The course covers a variety of topics such as dive planning, decompression illnesses, light absorption, nitrogen narcosis and equipment associated with deep diving.

The DPV specialty is a fun and exciting course as it gives you the freedom to move around underwater without the exertion of finning. Under the guidance of your rectotec instructor, you'll learn how to master your DPV in a safe and controlled manner. Live life in the fast lane with the PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Specialty!

COURSE SCHEDULE

Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you from the cold water outside. This means you'll not only enjoy the dive more, but may be able to stay underwater longer and offer redundant buoyancy. Skills include ascent and descent techniques, buoyancy, emergency procedures and routine maintenance.

Knowing how and when to use emergency oxygen is a great skill to have and means you're ready to help others should the need arise. Becoming a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider lets you breathe easy knowing that you can recognize scuba diving illnesses treatable with emergency oxygen, and are prepared to offer aid.

COURSE SCHEDULE

The course covers a variety of topics such as advantages and disadvantages of enriched air, dive planning including calculating your maximum operating depth (MOD) and setting up your dive computer, analysing your breathing gas and equipment considerations.

There is no diving required to complete the Enriched Air Diver specialty and it's also available online, so you can complete the theory in your own time followed by a few practical exercises to finish your education.

Do you struggle to maintain buoyancy? Do you struggle to stay in one place whilst performing a task? Would you like to be able to hover mid-water? By being correctly weighted, neutrally buoyant and in trim you will be able to effortlessly move through the water and improve your gas consumption.

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course improves the buoyancy skills you learned as a new diver and elevates them to the next level.

Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, ReActivate is personalised for you: You conveniently review scuba concepts on your tablet, mobile device or computer, and then go diving. It's quick and easy, and a good way to prepare for your next PADI course or to get ready for your diving holiday.

Divers who complete both the knowledge and in-water skill refresher receive a replacement certification card with a ReActivated date on it. Any PADI certified diver who wants a refresher or pre-travel update should ReActivate. Dive shops appreciate seeing a recent ReActivate date on your certification card because it means you're ready to dive in!

COURSE SCHEDULE

It can be used for both conscious and unconscious casualties, as well as those individuals who deteriorate into Cardiac Arrest and require resuscitation prior to the arrival of the Emergency Medical Services.

The RescuEAN Distinctive speciality covers the parts and the maintenance of the pod along with its use on both breathing and non-breathing casualties.

The Search & Recovery Diver speciality teaches you the skills to conduct an underwater search using a variety of search patterns including the use of lines and reels, the use of a lift bag and other recovery methods.

This course is probably one of the very best PADI Specialty programmes!

The two reasons for an experienced diver to take the Self-Reliant Diver course is to develop the skills of planning and carrying out dives without a partner when preferred or necessary, and to sharpen skills of diving self-reliance, making the diver a stronger partner in a dive pair or team.

This is not only to let the surface cover know where you are but to ensure your safety during your ascent as the surface above you should be free of hazards.

The Surface Marker Buoy specialty teaches how to use an SMB and DSMB and covers a variety of topics such as types of types of reels and buoys, various deployment methods, stowage and safety.

The course covers a variety of topics such as equipment configuration, buoyancy and trim, shut down procedures, out of gas (OOG) procedures and the correct use of the long hose.

The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.

Wrecks are also haven for fish life. Wreck diving however is not without its dangers. The Wreck Diver specialty covers a variety of topics such as line laying, propulsion methods, the use of lights, how to avoid common hazards and emergency procedures.

You'll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment. You’ll learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. We will show you how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions.

Furthermore, if you bring along some of your own equipment we can show you how it works along with specific maintenance tips for it.

COURSE SCHEDULE

The course aims to refresh existing safety and rescue skills as well as introduce some new techniques for improving surface location and survival skills in an emergency situation. The workshop covers dive planning, rescue skills, sea survival and methods of calling for help at the surface and involves theoretical and practical scenarios.
